Cultivation and Production: India is a leading producer and exporter of amaranth in the world, and Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana are some of the states that cultivate amaranth. 

In India it is mainly harvested in February and March.
